Instructions and Supporting Documentation
Complete instructions and definitions for the Survey/Annual Report will be found in the Companion Guide for the Preparation of the Public Library Survey and Annual Report of Public Libraries in Alberta. Please review it before completing the Survey/Annual Report,
In order to be considered complete, all sections of the Public Library Survey must be filled in. When listing board members, please list current members (i.e. as of the time of completing the survey), their contact information and expiry date of their terms.
Public Library Services Branch is now using LibPAS, a web based library statistics gathering tool to host the Survey/Annual Report. Please consult the following documents in order to familiarize yourself with this new tool.

One new feature of note this year: Some fields now are pre-populated with previous year data. This applies primarily to fields where there are seldom changes (e.g., building size, library street address, etc.). If the information for those fields are different, just click in the box to change it. Otherwise, you can take advantage of this time-saving feature and move on to subsequent questions!
